HoYeon

The success of Squid Game's first Netflix show, Hoyeon, a South Korean model and actress, received international recognition. Hoyeon was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress. She also won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actress of Female Character in an Drama Series. Hoyeon, who hails in Myeonmok-dong (a suburb located in Seoul), began her career as an independent model during Seoul Fashion Week in 2011. Hoyeon was a contestant on Seoul's fourth series of Next Top Model and placed in the runner-up position. The international spotlight came in the year 2016 when Louis Vuitton offered her an exclusive global contract. Since then, she has starred in campaigns and walked the runway for designers like Chanel, Fendi, Miu Miu, Marc Jacobs, and Moschino just to name a few.
